Exercise 1
of 10
Dani goes to the Bank with Leo to help him withdraw cash and change some banknotes. Dani teaches him the Mandarin Chinese words for withdrawals, credit card, bank, and the various currencies. Withdrawing Chinese Yuan at a cash machine is the most convenient and cheapest way to access your funds when in China. Just check what fees apply with your bank before you travel.
You will be unlikely to be able to purchase Chinese Yuan from outside China before you travel. This is due to Chinese government restrictions on the convertibility of the RMB. If you are travelling to Hong Kong, you will need to get Hong Kong dollars, which are much more readily available outside China. If you're travelling in smaller towns and rural areas, bring enough cash to last until you reach the next large city, as Western credit cards may not be used much in these areas.
