In these exercises, you'll learn Chinese terms essential when travelling by taxi in China. You'll also learn Mandarin requests to ask the cab driver to drive you to your hotel. You'll also have a moment to learn Mandarin Chinese pronouns that Dani hasn't had a chance to teach you yet. Dani also teaches you several key verbs such as to go and to arrive.
You won't need to haggle with taxi drivers in China, as all fares should be based on the meter. Try to have small bills available to avoid any difficulty with getting change for large bills. Taxi drivers don't expect a tip in China, and none is necessary. Taxi drivers generally don't strike up conversation in China, although a few friendly words in Chinese would be appreciated.
