To type a special pinyin letter, simply type the vowel followed by the number of the tone.
For example, typing 'a1' will convert to 'ā' when typed.

The fare prices for subways in China tend to be heavily subsidized. This is in order to promote public transport and ease the traffic problems caused by increased car ownership in China. Integrated ticking is a feature of most systems, with Hong Kong's Octopus card being the best example. It works on the MTR, buses, ferries, trams, as well as car parks, vending machines and even convenience stores.
