Get the most from your retail therapy in China by deciding to learn Mandarin Chinese words and sentences that are used most often when buying something. In these exercises you'll learn Mandarin phrases for asking can you try clothes on for size. You'll also learn Chinese vocabulary regarding the currency known as RMB or Yuan, and crucially you'll learn to haggle a little in Chinese.

You may even find a keen market vendor follow after you to offer you a very competitive price. It may also help to observe what local Chinese are paying for items in a market to help you establish what the fair price should be.
