In this chapter, you'll learn the vocabulary needed when arranging or attending a meeting in China. You'll learn how to say you don't understand if you find yourself lost. You'll learn how to identify any tasks that are assigned to you, such as preparing the annual report, and giving a presentation.
Chinese meetings can be very structured, and try not to interject without good reason or being invited to talk. Chinese people will nod their head and indicate that they are listening attentively when someone is speaking. Don't take this as a sign that they are agreeing with everything said though. It is also a good idea to keep your emotions in check and try to remain patient if you find yourself disagreeing with your Chinese colleagues or someone more senior.
