To type a special pinyin letter, simply type the vowel followed by the number of the tone.
For example, typing 'a1' will convert to 'ā' when typed.
In this chapter, you'll learn Chinese words necessary to order a cup of coffee or tea at a Chinese café. You'll also be able to point to any item and order it, without even knowing the Chinese word for it. Ordering from a Chinese waitress need not be too stressful once you learn Mandarin Chinese words required to make yourself understood.
Coffee companies in China are reporting seeing the Western trend of having a morning coffee becoming established. Other commentators have dismissed the growth of coffee in China as a 'fad' that will fade in the near future! For now, you'll have no problem finding a place to get your coffee fix while in China.
