There are certain points of etiquette you should be aware of when using chopsticks. Don't rub chopsticks together or tap them on the table or bowl. Don't use them to point or gesture, or leave them crossed on the table. Don't stand them upright in your bowl. It is normal practice to use your chopsticks to scoop rice and small morsels from your bowl into your mouth.
