of 10
Here you'll learn how to arrange to go for lunch with a colleague in China. You'll learn how to respond if asked are you hungry, and do you want to eat some Chinese food. The waitress uses the polite way of asking 'how many people?', and you will learn the polite way to respond in Mandarin Chinese!
A 'Dim Sum' or 'Yum Cha' lunch involves waitress wheeling carts full of dishes around the restaurant offering them to each table. They will mark a card for each dish ordered by the table. The dishes are small steamer baskets or small plates filled with bite-size portions of food, often dumplings. Tea or cha is an essential part of the 'Yum Cha' experience.
